Alexis Baptist Preschool/Kindergarten is a Christ-centered ministry of the church that offers children a safe and nurturing environment through a loving Christian staff. It is our desire to instill within them a respect for the Holy Scriptures, the foundation for an authentic faith, and to provide a loving example of Christian service.

    Once a spot is available, complete the enrollment, photo and allergy forms, and have your child’s doctor complete the doctor’s form with the shot record.

Enrollment

Hours, cost, summer camp, and how to register for Preschool (ages 2–4) and Kindergarten (age 5).

Hours of Operation

The school year for the Preschool and Kindergarten classes begins the Tuesday after Labor Day in September and ends the third week of May each year. We follow the Gaston County Schools closings for holidays and bad weather.

Preschool Classes (ages 2–4)
Monday–Friday, 8:30–12:00. 3s and 4s must be potty trained.

Kindergarten Classes (age 5)
Monday–Friday, 8:15–12:15.

Cost

There is a once-a-year registration fee of $75.00, non-refundable and due at enrollment.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp starts in June and runs for eight weeks, two days a week. Call the school office for details and availability.

Once you have been told a spot is available for your child, print and complete the forms: enrollment, photo, and the allergies sheet if your child has any. Have your child’s doctor complete and sign the doctor’s form, and include the shot record.

Program Philosophy

We know that the first few years of life are the most important and strive to provide a nurturing environment that is consistent and predictable, helping children ease comfortably into learning new skills.

We believe that God has gifted each child with unique talents and personalities and that every child deserves unconditional love and acceptance and the chance to reach their potential.

We further believe that children learn best in a relaxed environment where play and curiosity are encouraged. Because of that belief, we plan a wide variety of learning activities for children to investigate first-hand.

Our staff realizes that teaching in a way that nourishes them includes modeling appropriate behavior. We strive to become a respected and admired member of each child’s immediate world.

Mission Statement

Alexis Baptist Church exists to worship God with praise, service, giving and Christian fellowship. The church also seeks to win people through the gospel to Jesus Christ, to equip them for work of the ministry and to send them out as ambassadors of Christ to a lost and dying world.
